How to ship a vehicle from one European country to another?
Shipping a vehicle between European countries is simpler than most people expect. Within the EU there are no customs formalities, so your car can travel freely from one country to another. The most practical option is road transport on a professional auto carrier, the multi-level trucks that move 8 to 12 vehicles at once and keep the cost per car sensible. For islands, a ferry or container leg can be added.
The process is short: request a quote with the vehicle type, the pickup and delivery locations and your preferred dates. Booking 1 to 4 weeks in advance usually gets you a better price and more carriers to choose from. Before pickup, clean the car, remove personal belongings, leave about a quarter tank of fuel and take dated photos from every side. Keep the registration and insurance documents at hand.
You can choose door-to-door pickup and delivery or meet the carrier at an agreed point. Read more on our car transport page, or see the dedicated pages for van transport and camper transport.
How to get a quote for shipping a vehicle in Europe?
Getting a quote takes a few minutes and costs nothing. Use the quote form at the top of this page or give us a call. We need the basics: make, model and year, approximate size and weight, whether the vehicle drives normally or needs winching, and the pickup and delivery locations, for example from Italy to Germany.
The price depends on the route, the vehicle and the transport type. As a guide, short trips start from a minimum of 300 to 400 euros, while long cross-border routes can go above 1500 euros. Booking a few weeks ahead often means a better price. The quote you receive is the price you pay: no hidden fees, every detail agreed upfront, and no payment before pickup.
How do the prices change for enclosed vs open auto transport?
Open transport is the standard, cheaper option; enclosed transport protects more and costs more. On an open multi-level trailer your car shares the trip with several others, which keeps prices down. As an example, Italy to Spain typically runs 1150 to 1630 euros on an open carrier, and roughly 1600 to 2700 euros enclosed.
Enclosed trailers carry only two to four cars, need specialised equipment and carry higher insurance, which is why they usually cost 40 to 70% more. In exchange, your car travels sealed away from rain, stone chips, road salt and curious eyes.
Our advice: for a normal daily driver, open transport is the sensible choice. For a classic, luxury or low ground-clearance car, enclosed is worth the difference. Both options are explained on our car transport page, and your quote can include both prices so you can compare.
Can you handle dangerous chemicals transport in Europe?
Yes. We arrange ADR-compliant transport of chemicals and dangerous goods across Europe through certified carrier partners, with trained drivers, approved vehicles and cargo insurance appropriate to the load.
To quote a shipment we need the UN number and correct classification, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS or MSDS), the exact quantities, the packaging type, the delivery addresses and your preferred dates. Strict rules on packaging, labelling and documentation apply, and some loads we simply do not accept: unidentified materials or poorly packaged items, for example.
Contact our team with the details of your load and we will tell you quickly whether we can move it, and at what price.
How does tracking work for goods or vehicles?
Tracking works through our support team, with clear human updates at every stage. We do not hand you off to an app: you have a direct contact who actually knows where your vehicle is.
After booking you receive a confirmation with the pickup window and first ETA. When the carrier loads your vehicle we confirm pickup. During transit you can request a status update at any time and we reply quickly with the latest information. The day before arrival we send a heads-up so you can be ready.
On delivery we forward the signed proof of delivery together with the CMR consignment note or Bill of Lading where required. Updates are shared only with you or your authorised contact. For a quick status check, message us on WhatsApp or give us a call.
Do your services come with insurance options for yacht transport?
Yes. Yacht and boat moves are covered by the cargo insurance our carrier partners provide, against accidental damage or loss during the journey, including loading and unloading onto the cradle.
For higher-value boats, declare the full value from the start so we can confirm the right level of coverage, and ask for the insurance certificate before booking if you want to review the details first.
To arrange coverage we need the boat’s value, recent photos, a short condition report, the route and how it will be loaded. Loose gear and extra parts on board are usually not covered unless declared. Full details are on our yacht and boat transport page.
Can your company move my motorhome internationally?
Yes, we move motorhomes internationally every week: Germany to France, Spain to Italy, Switzerland, the UK, and across the rest of Europe, both inside and outside the EU.
To quote your move we need the route, rough dates, the true height, length and weight, whether it drives normally or needs winching, and anything unusual such as large awnings or solar panels. Outside the EU there may be customs forms or VAT to handle; we explain everything clearly and help with the paperwork.
See the dedicated camper and motorhome transport page, or send us the details for a quote.
How much does it cost to ship a camper across Europe?
Prices for shipping a camper across Europe vary widely, because not every carrier can take every motorhome. A smaller campervan on a common route is often in the high hundreds to low thousands of euros. Long cross-Europe moves, high-roof models and heavy motorhomes can land well above that, especially if loading is tricky.
What decides the quote is the route and timing, the camper’s true height, length and weight, and whether it drives onto the trailer or needs help. Tight streets or limited loading space can add cost.
Share the two locations plus dimensions and weight and we will send you an exact price, free and without obligation.
